ROYAL
NATIONAL
PARK:
Situated on the southern outskirts of
Sydney, the
Royal
National Park
is the second oldest National Park.
KURING
NATIONAL
PARK:
Is
on the
North
Side of
Sydney,
enabling
you to
cross
the
harbour
either
by Ferry
or
vehicular
modes of
transport.
This
park
preserves
sandstone
cliffs,
eucalyptus
and
pockets
of
rainforest
on the
shores
of
Pittwater
and
Broken
Bay.
Take a
ferry or
you can
even
hire a
houseboat.
There
are
picnic
and
barbeque
facilities
at
Bobbin
Head,
Cottage
Point
and West
Head,
which
are all
easily
accessible
by car,
and is
also
where we
enjoyed
many a
family
picnic.
SYDNEY
HARBOUR
NATIONAL
PARK
The park
is
situated
only 15
minutes
from the
heart of
Sydney
there are rugged
sandstone
cliffs,
shady
walking
tracks
and
secluded
beaches.
Nature
walks or
Bush
walking
as we
call it,
is not a
problem
or
difficult
there,
and is
one
place
not to
miss.
La
Perouse
is the
historic
Cable
Station
built in
(1882)
here you
will
find the
Aboriginal
Art
Gallery
and the
La
Perouse
Museum,
commemorating
the
voyage
of the
French
Navigator
La
Perouse.
Kookaburras
are only
found in
Australia
.
They are members of the Kingfisher family

The Laughing
Kookaburra

mostly
found in
the bush
lands of
Eastern Australia
The Blue-Winged Kookaburra ~ which is found in the Mangrove
swamps
of
Northern Australia
